Bill Paul, an Oakhurst resident for 35 years, died Feb. 24, 2015 at the age of 96. He was born Dec. 5, 2018 in San Mateo to Francis William Paul, Sr., and Lillian Rasmussen.
Mr. Paul served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and the Korean War. He retired from PacBell as an engineering manager after 34 years of employment. He was also a Kiwanis member for more than 45 years.
He enjoyed traveling across the U.S., gardening, trips to Yosemite, riding motorcycles (until age 82), and visiting his friends at area businesses.
Mr. Paul was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Pam; sons George of Virginia; Ken and wife Megan of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter, Lisa Paul Samora and husband Joe of Oakhurst; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, March 9, at the Positive Living Center in Oakhurst.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances honoring his life may be made to the Eastern Madera County SPCA.
