Hello and happy summer. This is our last month of the 4-H year, and also 4-H camp, which was June 14-18 at Huntington Lake. 4-H camp is a very fun experience, and you can even become a junior counselor or teen counselor. It’s too late to sign up this year to go to camp, but next year you can join our club and go.
4-H Camp is at Camp Keola, a beautiful area and an amazing place. There are a variety of activities including fishing, water sports, archery, arts & crafts, science, cake decorating and more. Overall 4-H camp is a great experience, very fun and I recommend it.
Several Coarsegold members attended the Madera County Paddle Day hosted by Golden Oak 4-H on June 10. We will also have our end of year celebration in July 14 with a water sports day and potluck.
I have enjoyed being our club reporter this past year and am excited to serve as vice president next year.
Our leader is Pat Strimling and if you would like to join our club you can contact her at (559)-683- 5149. Anyone can join. You don’t have to go to Coarsegold School to be in Coarsegold 4-H. You can live anywhere in Madera county as long as you can make it to our meetings.
