Miller’s Landing Resort and The Forks Resort, both on the south shore of Bass lake, open for the 2018 season Friday, March 30.
This year marks the 71st season for The Forks and the 37th season for Miller’s Landing.
The two family owned and operated seasonal resorts are long-time favorites on the lake where you can enjoy shopping for souiviners, boat rentals along with breakfast, lunch or dinner outside on the patio enjoying the spectacular views of Bass Lake and dogs are welcome.
“I am very excited The Forks Resort and Miller’s Landing will open for the season. You’ll find friendly people and great food. With their opening, the smell of spring and summer fun is here,” said Rhonda Salisbury, CEO of Visit Yosemite Madera County.
Both offer cabins perfect for families or groups looking to stay together, a very well stocked general store to buy groceries and other supplies on site as well as boat rentals and more.
In addition to Miller’s Landing and The Forks Resort, Bass Lake offers another full service resort open all year, namely The Pines Resort, complete with onsite fine dining at Ducey’s On the Lake, plus The Pines Market and Deli and The Pines Bar.
Only steps away from The Pines Resort is Bass Lake Boat Rentals open year round and their seasonal Marina Burger.
If camping under the stars and with the trees is your style, there are plenty of camping options around the lake, in addition to numerous rental homes and cabins. Go shopping in the Pines Village and eat at the various restaurants. Fall in love with Bass Lake and you may consider browsing in the window at Bass Lake’s Century 21.
“If you love a good burger, head to the lake as two more delicious burger options will be available,” said Salisbury.
Other businesses in the region are getting ready to open up for the spring season as well. The historic Shay locomotives of the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad will begin running 7 days a week starting April 2.
Popular events on the lake include the annual Bass Lake Fishing Derby May 5 and 6 and the Bass Lake Block Party May 12.
