The Madera County Sheriff’s Office received 98 calls during the week of Jan. 29 - Feb. 4. Below is a sampling of those calls for the Mountain Area.
☆ Jan. 29: A deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of School Road regarding theft. Report written and case closed.
☆ Jan. 30: A deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Indian Springs Road regarding a report of burglary. A statement was gathered, photos were taken for evidence, stolen items were documented and a report was written.
☆ Jan. 31: A deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Meadow Vista Dr. in regards to vandalism. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case closed due to lack of evidence.
☆ Feb. 1: A deputy was dispatched to the area of 39000 block of Washburn Lane in regards to vandalism. A report taken. Case closed.
☆ Feb. 1: A deputy was dispatched to a telephonic report of vandalism from the Oakhurst area. A report taken. Close the case.
☆ Feb. 1: A deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a commercial burglary. The witness was interviewed and a report was completed. Case closed.
☆ Feb. 2: A deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding vandalism to an electrical outlet at the business. A report for documentation was requested.
☆ Feb. 2: A deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Road 426 regarding possible brandishing of a firearm. After investigation this it appeared that it did not happen.
☆ Feb. 4: A deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a disorderly subject refusing to leave the property. Subject was contacted and subsequently arrested for public intoxication. The subject was booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections.
☆ Jan. 29: A deputy was patrolling in the area of CA-41 and Road 415 when a traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle code violation. During a consent search of the vehicle narcotics were located. The driver was arrested, cited and released for the possession of the narcotics. Case closed by arrest.
☆ Jan. 30: A deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Holiday Drive regarding a burglary. Report written and case closed.
☆ Feb. 1: Deputies were dispatched to the 47000 block of Road 417 regarding a domestic incident. The male half was arrested for criminal threats and booked at Madera DOC. A report was written and forwarded to the DA's office for charges.
☆ Feb. 2: A deputy was dispatched to a telephonic call regarding a father that was reporting his son was possibly being provided drugs by his mother. The father of the juvenile only provided the mother's telephone number and did have a current address for the mother and child. Report was written and case was forwarded to Child Protective Services.
☆ Feb. 3: A deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of a male subject making suicidal statements. Subject was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to the Madera Community Hospital. Report was written for documentation purposes and case was closed.
☆ Feb. 3: A deputy dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of possible found narcotics. There were no leads or suspects identified with the substance. The substance was booked into evidence for destruction. Case closed.
☆ Feb. 4: Deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival an investigation ensued and a female subject was arrested for felony domestic violence charges. She was transported and booked into Madera DOC. Case closed.
☆ Jan. 31: A deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 222 regarding a subject in a dumpster that could not get out. The subject was determined unable to take care of himself and turned over to EMS as a W&I 5150. He went to the hospital under gravely disabled.
☆ Jan. 31: A deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding an employee who was stealing from the business. The employee was contacted and admitted to stealing. He was fired by the owner and no charges were requested as he is going to pay back the owner.
☆ Feb. 2: A deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Peckinpah Acres Road regarding a theft a wood splitter. Report suspended until further leads develop.
☆ Jan. 30: A deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Road 222 regarding a residential alarm sounding. Upon arrival a window screen was found broken and lying on the ground beneath an open window. Additional deputies were requested and a perimeter was set. A canine was deployed to search the interior of the residence which concluded no persons found. There was no further evidence located, no further damage done to the residence or property taken. Case closed.
☆ Jan. 30: A deputy receives a report of an illegal outdoor marijuana grow that is located in the 27000 block of Oak Creek Road. Investigation on going.
