A four-vehicle wreck at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Highway 41, near Road 207, flipped one vehicle over and caused traffic delays for about an hour, CHP public information officer Kaci Lutz said.
Only one driver, Lz Huggins of Fresno in the 2007 Mitsubishi Montero flipped on its side, was injured, with complaints of pain to his left arm and shoulder, Lutz said. He was transported to Clovis for medical treatment by Sierra Ambulance.
The wreck took place with three vehicles following the lead car in the northbound lanes of Highway 41.
Jennifer Morgan of Coarsegold, the only female driver, was in front and signaled a left turn onto Road 207.
Valentine Velasco-Nolasco of Watsonville, in a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta, then slowed from behind her and Huggins, in the Mitsubishi, was unable to slow down, slammed into the Jetta, and spun out of control.
Naser Nekumanesh of Fresno, in a 2004 Mercedes, saw the oncoming pileup, Lutz said, and was caught up in the wreck as well when he struck the Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi was flipped onto its driver’s side during the crash.
The Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, and Mercedes all received major damage, while the Prius was drivable and left the area.
The roadways were cleared around 10 a.m., as vehicles were towed and the scene was cleaned up. Traffic is clear on Highway 41.
No drugs or alcohol were involved in the wreck, Lutz said.
