A vehicle that crashed into a power pole on Yosemite Springs Park Thursday afternoon, between Highway 41 and Hillside Market, has shut down power for more than 750 PG&E customers.
Live power lines fell into the roadway for a few hundred feet, forcing CHP to close the roadway in the affected area.
The crash happened some time before the outages were reported to PG&E at around 1:30 p.m. The driver was reportedly taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
The estimated time for power to be restored is 3:30 p.m., as responders assess the scene and PG&E crews work on the lines. The CHP would not confirm the cause of the wreck as investigations continue.
