Dr. Jennifer Franchuk, a graduate of Medical College of Wisconsin, is now serving the Mountain Area as a general practitioner at Camarena Health, Road (426), (next to Sierra Star).
Franchuk was born and raised in Washington state, graduated from high school in Orange County, and studied medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin. Following school, she finished her training at Providence Milwaukie Family Medicine in Oregon, and opened her first practice there.
“I never really thought about medical school while I was in school, but after college I started working in a cancer center and developed some medical problems of my own and developed an appreciation for comprehensive care,” Franchuk said. “I also learned the value of really listening to the patient.”
Franchuk, who enjoys quilting and hiking, said she’s always had a strong commitment to serving the undeserved either economically or geographically.
“Camarena allows me to continue in this service in a beautiful area to wonderful people,” Franchuk said.
