An accident near Road 632 and Country Club Drive around 3:30 a.m. Thursday sent two men to the hospital, with one airlifted to Fresno due to major injuries.
The CHP reported Dylan Anderson, 18 from Coarsegold, drove a Toyota Tacoma westbound on Road 632 when he drifted off of the roadway and slammed into an embankment, which flipped the vehicle over.
That crash may have been due to being preoccupied with an intoxicated passenger, CHP officers said. An investigation is ongoing.
Anderson was transported to St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, while one passenger, Ryan Losee, 18 from Oakhurst, sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, also of Fresno.
Charles Kelley, another 18-year-old passenger from Oakhurst, was uninjured.
