The Madera Vintners Association will host its 8th annual California Wine Month Celebration, Sept. 18. Local wineries, restaurants and food companies will join to pour wines complemented by delicious and diverse foods for sampling, in addition to catered hors d’oeuvres.
Guests can enjoy the wine and food exhibitors at Toca Madera Winery, 6-9 p.m., which newly opened in 2015 with a spacious outdoor terraced garden and scenic views of their Madera County vineyard. Toca Madera Winery will pour its newest wines for tasting alongside other Madera wineries as well during the event.
Wineries and vintners will be available to discuss the wines and techniques used in local winegrowing and winemaking. Tickets are $35 online at MaderaWineTrail.com through Sept. 18, and proceeds benefit Community Food Bank, with $5 from each ticket going to the food bank, which will also accept monetary donations at the event.
The association will recognize the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau for their partnership with the MVA and area wineries. The bureau has had a positive impact on the local wine industry through its marketing in tourism, bringing thousands of visitors to the area each year.
