Retired North Fork Elementary School teacher JoAnn Griffin, is ready to give up her home of 50 years on Wild Rose Lane. She is moving to The Wnyham Retirement Home in Fresno, where she will be closer to two of her four children.
To give friends and former students a chance to say goodbye, family members are hosting a potluck luncheon on Saturday, Aug. 1, at Grace Community Church, 56442 Road 200, between Bass Fork Shell and the North Fork village.
Griffin is a well-loved resident of North Fork, hundreds of past students remember her fondly. She’s been active in many community groups, with a special interest in Grace Community Church, prisoner support programs, the library, animal rescue groups, and other causes.
Over the years, she was quick to reach out to hundreds of people who needed help in one form or another.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP Sarah Rah, (559) 706-9310.
