Dustin Maddox, a 2007 graduate of Yosemite High School, was ordained by the San Joaquin Presbytery on Saturday, Jan. 13, and is now the Associate Pastor at University Presbyterian Church in Fresno.
Upon his graduation from Yosemite, he interned for one year as a youth pastor at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church in Oakhurst, while attending Oakhurst Community College.
When his internship expired he moved to Seattle Washington and enrolled at Seattle Pacific University for one and a half years, then transferred to Fresno Pacific University, graduating in 2012 with dual majors in a Bachelor of Arts degree in Contemporary Christian Ministries and Biblical and Religious Studies with an emphasis in conflict management and peacemaking.
Dustin was then hired by University Presbyterian Church in Fresno where he assumed various support roles as a lay minister. While working at UPC he again attended Fresno Pacific University graduating with his Master of Divinity Degree in May, 2017. He was chosen to be a class speaker and received the award for best Master’s thesis.
He is married to Robin Allen-Maddox of Napa, a graduate of San Francisco State University, currently the communications coordinator and executive assistant at Community Food Bank of Fresno.
