Waterfalls in Yosemite Valley have slowed due to lack of rain or snow. Add in some cold nights and you get a frozen waterfall.
That’s what Bee photographer John Walker found late last week on a trip to Yosemite National Park. The Silver Strand Falls near the Tunnel View entrance to the valley has been locked into place in a frozen wonder.
Silver Strand is southwest of Tunnel View, and is often overlooked because it is opposite of where most tourists look.
Overnight temperatures in Yosemite Valley this week are forecast to be in the low-to-mid 30s. Daytime highs will be in the 50s.
