Linda Esterly recently celebrated 25 years as a Mountain Area dental hygienist, and 50 years in the field of dentistry.
She began her dental career in 1965 at the age of 16, working as a dental assistant for her family dentist. Following her high school graduation, she attended a dental assisting program, and in 1976, earned her Registered Dental Assistant License (RDA).
Coaxed by her husband, Gordon, she returned to school to obtain a Bachelors of Science Degree in dental hygiene from USC in 1987.
“I truly love being a dental hygienist and I’ve made many wonderful friends, both colleagues and patients throughout my career,” Esterly said. “The nickname ‘Tooth Fairy’ has been a term of endearment bestowed upon me by several friends because I make sure people know that I care.”
Esterly currently works for Dr. Michael Horasanian in Oakhurst.
Paul Pasley, a native of Oakhurst and a 1994 graduate of Yosemite High School was recently named Chief Warrant Officer. He is currently attending Officer Training Command Academy in Newport, Rhode Island, and will be stationed at Edwards Air Force Base.
Pasley enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1996, and was part of a team providing humanitarian assistance to the tsunami battered islands of Indonesia, and has completed two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
He currently resides in Lemoore with his wife, Stacey, and children Gage and Lily. He is the son of Rick and Franci Pasley.
