Yosemite High volleyball camp

Sports Briefs for 7/3/14 edition of the Sierra Star

July 1, 2014

A volleyball camp for players in 6th through 12th grade will be held at Yosemite High School 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., July 14-17.

The camp will be run by Chico-based Gold Medal Squared, whose mission is to seek out and share the best way to play, and coach the game of volleyball.

Gold Medal Squared is the collaborative effort of three coaches with more than 150 years of combined coaching experience, and have experience at every level — high school, club, collegiate, professional foreign leagues, and international competition.

The camps were created to improve the quality of volleyball players and volleyball coaches. The organization believes that coaching is a lifelong education and the learning never stops. Through years of refinement, Gold Medal Squared has developed a unique system where volleyball coaches are given the necessary tools to teach the skills to their players, to understand the tactics of the game, to make better use of limited time with their players, and to develop winning programs.

Cost of the camp is $225 per player.
