Johanna "J.J" James, of Bass Lake, died April 24, 2014 at the age of 97.
Mrs. James was a resident of Bass Lake for more than 25 years before moving with her husband to Las Vegas.
She attended beauty school with her mother and owned a beauty shop on Hollywood Blvd. and Vermont in Hollywood.
Prior to owning a beauty shop, Mrs. James worked at Lockheed in Burbank during WWII.
She was a widow of her first husband, who died in the Battle of the Bulge, and is survived by her sister Zoe Hughes of Coarsegold; and three nephews Mike, Glenn and Russell Wadstein.
No public service will be held.
