Coarsegold woman dies in head-on collision

June 27, 2014

A 61-year old Coarsegold woman died early Thursday evening, June 26, following a head-on collision on Highway 145 east of Highway 41.

According to the CHP, Charlotte Boatright was traveling eastbound on Road 145 from Highway 41 at approximately 40 miles per hour at about 5:15 p.m.

For unknown reasons, she allowed her vehicle to drift directly into the path of Mr. Moniz of Fremont, who was driving a charter bus westbound on Road 145 approaching Highway 41 at 50-55 miles per hour.

Boatright sustained fatal injuries, as did her dog, who died later. No other injuries were reported.
