Women's golf night at River Creek

June 17, 2014

Members of the River Creek Women's Golf Club celebrated Women's Golf Month June 10 by hosting a Girls' Night Out event. Women new to golf or those who wanted to brush up on their skills attended to take advantage of free lessons on chipping and putting.

After lessons, Jane House won the chipping contest, with Maureen Cook and Karen Bauer placing second and third, respectively.

The evening concluded with wine and hors d'oeuvres on the club house patio while raffle prizes were awarded. A portion of the proceeds from the raffle sales will go to Helping Hands Pregnancy & Parenting Center in Oakhurst.

Any women interested in playing with the River Creek Women's Golf Club are invited to play with the group any Tuesday morning for a round of casual golf.

Those interested are asked to arrive by 7:15 a.m. for the 7:30 tee time. Players may play with the group without being a member.
