YNP educates on swift water rescue techniques

May 23, 2014

Yosemite National Park held its fifth annual Swift Water Demonstration Day in Yosemite Valley Thursday, May 22, 2014. The Swift Water Demonstration Day is designed to teach park visitors appropriate water safety skills and also demonstrate what techniques are used during real life swift water rescue incidents.

Yosemite National Park's Preventative Search and Rescue (PSAR) program has partnered with Yosemite Conservancy to produce a short and compelling video aimed at educating visitors about the dangers of swift water throughout the park. The video can be downloaded at: http://go.nps.gov/3rni2u or http://youtu.be/sKLPcpw7r08
