Free Interactive Art lessons

Free Interactive Art lessons are taking place every weekend at the Greater North Fork Art Gallery, with professional area artists demonstrating their specialty every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm; the Gallery is open for viewing 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday, May 24: Ruth Rosenthal, writer of prose and poetry extraordinaire will be the docent and is always more than happy to share readings of her works as well as discuss the writing process and even how to publish your work.

Sunday, May 25: Diann Miller will host the Gallery and discuss the how-to of making fine art jewelry with beading.

Saturday, May 31: Anne Bredon, talented fine art beader and weaver will be the day’s docent and will demonstrate artwork on her loom. Learn to make woven belts and discuss other fine woven and beaded works.

Sunday, June 1: Dee Shafer, jewelry designer, will teach earring-making between noon and 2:30 p.m. Kits with everything you need will be available for purchase, or bring your own materials. All necessary tools will be provided. Observers are also welcome.
