As we all know, California is having the driest year since 1934. The danger of wild fires, as evidenced in the San Diego area last week, is the greatest in recent history. It is also a fact that the majority of wild fires are man made.
In a time of crisis, we all must do everything possible to prevent wild fires and to protect lives and property.
With this thought in mind, I would like to urge the Madera County Board of Supervisors to enact immediately, a ban on the use of all off-road vehicles throughout the county, regardless of the existing zoning.
Gentleman, do what needs to be done for everyone's safety.
