May 7, 2014

Madera County Sheriff John Anderson today announced that one of two men wanted for robbery and attempted murder in Coarsegold last month has been arrested. His partner is still on the loose.

Robert Lee Huber, 20, of Oakhurst, was captured late today in Las Vegas by Metro Police. He remains behind bars awaiting extradition.

Meantime, The Madera County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for 29-year-old Adrian Joseph Reyes of Ahwahnee. Both Reyes and Huber were positively identified in the aggravated assault case that occurred on Konklin Road in Coarsegold, where a man was robbed and then shot in the early morning hours of April 2.

According to reports, the victim, who is on probation in another county for narcotics, was visiting the mountain area to gamble and party with friends.

At some point during the night, the group decided to hook up somewhere between North Fork and Bass Lake to “party.” At some point they ended up on Konklin Road (off Highway 41) where the two suspects robbed the victim, beat the victim, and then shot him.

The victim, whose name is not being released, has recovered from his wounds. Anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of Adrian Reyes is urged to call the Madera County sheriff’s office at 67507770 or CRIME STOPPERS at 498-STOP.
