Music in the Meadow

May 7, 2014

The 2014 “Music in the Meadow” event will be held noon-4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Coarsegold Historic Museum, 31899 Highway 41.

The event is a fundraiser for the Coarsegold Historical Society for the ongoing restoration of the 1870s adobe house at the museum.

This year’s event will feature two bands playing throughout the afternoon — the bluegrass band “Crossfire,” and the “Morgan Canyon Band” who will perform mellow rock from the 60s and 70s.

Food and beverages (including wines of Englemann Cellars) will be available throughout the day. There will also be a silent auction featuring many items including a Yosemite Lakes Park golf package, and diner for two at the Blue Heron Restaurant in YLP. A 50/50 drawing will also be held.

Docents will be available during the event for museum tours.

Cost is $10 per person. Tickets are available in Coarsegold at Goldmine Pizza, Coarsegold Miner’s Grill, Kenli, Inc., Coarsegold Emporium, and the Coarsegold Museum. In Oakhurst, tickets are available at Sullivan’s Tire Pros. Sponsores of the event include Kenli, Inc., Sullivan’s Tire Pros, and Veater Financial Group.

“Bring a chair or blanket, and enjoy a lovely afternoon surrounded by history and great music,” said Steve Core, president of the Coarsegold Historical Society.
