District 5 supervisor debate?

May 1, 2014

Dear Editor,

Voters are starting to observe critical differences between District 5 supervisor candidate Paul Cliby and incumbent Tom Wheeler — from opposing views on YARTS to different solutions on water, urgent health care, budget, pension reform, jobs, and property rights.

Candidate forums with multiple offices and candidates, by necessity, restrict in-depth responses, often leaving little time to cover all important issues.

Thus, a real one-on-one debate just between Wheeler and Cliby will give voters the opportunity to learn firsthand which candidate brings the best solutions to the table.

Candidate Cliby, in North Fork, asked for just such a debate. Voters would greatly benefit if the incumbent accepts and a sponsor steps forward before absentee ballots are mailed out.
