Consider Linn

Letters to the Editor - 5/1/14 edition

April 29, 2014

Dear Editor,

I want to take this opportunity to show the tremendous support that attorney David Linn has contributed to our Oakhurst community over many years. He worked for 29 years ensuring that our local park, which receives no governmental financial assistance, had the necessary funds to thrive.

As chairman of the park committee, he exemplified exceptional commitment and leadership enhancing and improving the park and securing the thousands of dollars necessary to keep it open.

As an attorney, over many years, he contributed, without fee, consultation and legal advice to churches in our area. His commitment to the youth in our area is highlighted by his early-on involvement in youth athletics as a Pop Warner coach.

He supported the El Capitan Educational Foundation that raised thousands of dollars for college scholarships for our Yosemite High School graduating seniors.

He spent 13 years serving on the Service Academy Selection Board and eight years as the local liaison for Congressman Radanovich.

He provides legal advice and support for the Oakhurst Chamber of Commerce, contributing literally thousands of dollars worth of his time in successfully advising and defending the chamber when faced with potential litigation. His name is generally at the top of the list of major supporters for community events and fundraisers.

When you go to the polls in June, consider David Linn.
