Robert Gleeson died on April 6, 2014 at the age of 83.
He was born in Oakland to parents Willard and Maybelle Gleeson of Texas and Illinois respectively.
Mr. Gleeson attended Polytechnic High School in Riverside, graduating in 1949. In 1955 he married Mary V. Kerns from Greensboro, Md. and the couple celebrated their 58th anniversary on Dec. 29, 2013.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in communications at Adak Ionosphere, Ala. and worked as an electronics engineer and service trainer with both Magnavox and Sharp electronics. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and traveling.
Mr. Gleeson was also inducted into the Gateway United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame at Madera Valley Bowl in 2006.
He is survived by his wife; children, David, of Seattle, Joyce, of Greece, Donald, of Mariposa; grandson, Haris, of Greece; sisters, Claudia Crowley, Betty Driscoll, Mary Ann Stadler; brother, Gene and several nieces and nephews.
