Madera County Sheriff John Anderson today announced that the department’s Major Crimes Investigation Unit has identified two men now wanted for robbery and attempted murder in Coarsegold.

Robert Lee Huber, 20, of Oakhurst, and 29-year-old Adrian Joseph Reyes of Ahwahnee, are wanted in connection to an aggravated assault case that occurred on April 2, on Konklin Road in Coarsegold.

Detectives are still gathering information based on evidence they uncovered but as of Monday, April 14, were able to positively identify both suspects as being involved in robbing a man and then shooting him in the early morning hours of April 2.

According to reports, the victim, who is on probation in another county for narcotics, was visiting the mountain area to gamble and party with friends.

At some point during the night, the group decided to hook up somewhere between North Fork and Bass Lake to “party.”

At some point they ended up on Konklin Road (off CA-41) where the two suspects robbed the victim, beat the victim, and then shot him.

The victim, whose name is not being released, is expected to make a full recovery.

Meantime, anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of Robert Huber and Adrian Reyes are urged to call the Madera County sheriff’s office at 67507770 or CRIME STOPPERS at 498-STOP.
