Honorary Mayoral Campaign Thursday

Staff reportApril 8, 2014

The kick-off for the 2014 Honorary Mayoral campaign kicks-off Thursday, April 10, from 5-7 p.m., at Yosemite Bank in Oakhurst. The campaign runs through July 10. Sponsored by the Eastern Madera County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the honorary mayoral candidates raise money for their favorite, non-profit charity. Each dollar raised during the campaign counts as a vote; the candidate with the most votes wins the title and duties of the Honorary Mayor of Oakhurst.

As of last Tuesday, the three running for this position are Matthew Sands for the Boys & Girls Club, Michael Costa for Little Church on the Hill, and Zona Cahill for Sierra Senior Society.
