History trip

March 28, 2014

A history and beauty trip, sponsored by the Coarsegold Historical Society, and hosted by experienced travelers Jack and Kay Good is planned for April 3, 2015, returning April 14, 2015.

The trip includes 10 nights on a deluxe river boat with visits to many historic towns and cities in France along the Seine River, traveling from Paris to Normandy and return to Paris on the boat. Experience Paris, Giverny (Monet's home), Vernon, Rouen, the Abbey of St. Wandrille de Fontenelle, Honfleur, a full day of Normandy and the D-Day landmarks, the Bayeux Tapestry and Les Andelys.

The price of the trip is all-inclusive with airfare from San Francisco, airport to ship and return transfers, meals and most sight-seeing tours. To determine the full price of the tour, pick the cabin category you desire and to that price add half-price airfare for economy airfare from Fresno.

Our group price is more than $1,000 lower than the standard pricing shown on the normal Vantage website. Additional savings can be obtained by prepaying for the total trip. We calculate that the total per person in a double cabin ranges from a low of $3633 for a cabin in the lower deck, $4,133 for a mid-range B-1 cabin on the middle deck.

Details: Steve Mitchell (559) 683-6395, Ken Rawlings (559) 658-8631, or Jack Good (559) 642-4242 (Good is not available most of March through May).
