Land Management vehicles vandalized in Bass Lake

March 26, 2014

The Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation after California Land Management vehicles were vandalized in Bass Lake. Whoever broke into the fenced area, located off Road 222, clipped the gas lines of three trucks.

One worker said he discovered the damage while trying to fill the tank of one of the trucks. While fueling up he suddenly saw gas pouring from bottom of his gas tank.

After inspecting other vehicles parked in the yard, he discovered two other trucks had been damaged as well. Anyone who may have information about this break-in is urged to call the Madera County Sheriff’s Office at 559-675-7770 and refer to case # 14-1415.
