I admire Scot's courage

Letters to the Editor - 3/27/14 edition

March 25, 2014

Dear Editor,

In response to two articles in the March 20, Sierra Star with one of which I totally agree ... "Wooly Bully"" by Peter Cavanaugh. I especially like being reminded of what Dwight Eisenhower said about war and its multiple costs and our future (and of course Matthew 5:9).

And the second, a letter (with which I disagree completely), "Are you Shocked?" I wish I could say I'm shocked at her response, but sadly, I'm not, as I'm sure she is not the only one to have this reaction.

I'd like to say that I admire Karen Adell Scot's courage and confidence to be open and honest about who she is, and as a retired teacher, I want to say, I certainly hope her co-workers and the youth with whom she works show her the respect that she deserves.
