Yosemite swimmers edged by Madera High

The Yosemite High School swim teams hosted Madera High March 11, with the boy's varsity being edged by three points (94-91) and the girl's varsity losing by 14 points (98-84).

The Badger boy's JV team lost 74-50 and the girl's JV team was defeated 89-59.

In the boy's division, Yosemite first place finishers included Phillip Kudela (100 freestyle - 53.63 - 200 yard freestyle - 1:58), Trevor Wood (200 IM - 2:34.4), Aaron Mulkey (50 freestyle - 23.94, 500 freestyle - 5:36.48), Jeff Foster (100 butterfly - 58.32), Jared Wood (100 backstroke - 1:06.4), Dylan Thacker (100 breaststroke - 1:22.94), Ben Hartesveldt (100 breaststroke - 1:17.01), and Dillan Masai (1 meter diving).

In the girl's division, Yosemite first place finishes were turned in by Haley Clark (200 yard freestyle - 2:18.75, 500 freestyle - 6:09.78), Nicole Tapia (200 IM - 2:48.52 - 100 butterfly - 1:13.72), Julia McConville (50 freestyle - 29.42), Rose Curley (100 breaststroke - 1:25.48), and Jordyn Ahrens (1 meter diving).

The team hosts Bullard at 3:30 p.m. this Friday, and open league by hosting Sierra at 4 p.m. on March 27.
