Sheriff's log - 2/6/14 edition of the Sierra Star

February 4, 2014 


4:09 p.m. Jan. 26 — Sheriff's contacted a subject trespassing behind an Oakhurst area auto parts store. Subject found to be in possession of a loaded concealed revolver, as well as methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

5:24 p.m. Jan. 27 — Deputy was on routine patrol and contacted an individual driving a motor vehicle without a license. Individual was cited for driving without a license.

7:59 a.m. Jan. 29 — Unknown suspect(s) spray-painted graffiti on the side of victims business delivery truck, causing about $200 worth of damage.

11:14 a.m. Jan. 30 — Oakhurst business reported that male subject came into their store and picked up a pair of work gloves and walked out without paying.

1:16 p.m. Jan. 31 — Oakhurst church employee reported someone damaging the front doors to the church with a vehicle but didn't make entry. This is the third time church doors have been damaged in this way.

5:47 Feb. 1 — Deputies arrested a subject for stealing alcohol from CVS.

3:54 p.m. Feb. 2 — Vehicle stolen from location near Lauri Lane while owner was out of town.


12:52 a.m. Jan. 26 — Deputy was dispatched to casino in Coarsegold regarding a patron possibly using a fraudulent debit/credit card.

8:14 a.m. Jan. 26 — Deputy takes a burglary report near Yosemite Springs Parkway. Evidence was gathered and three suspects located and arrested.

3:05 p.m. Jan. 26 — Suspects broke window at multipurpose room near Road 400 and drove a stolen golf cart over the campus, running over some plastic barricades throwing trash around and doing doughnuts on the baseball field.

11:10 a.m. Jan. 27 — Report of mail theft from a mailbox cluster at Road 416 and Robinhood.

11:51 p.m. Jan. 27 — Deputy was on routine patrol in the Coarsegold area and stopped a vehicle for expired registration. Passenger was arrested for possession of narcotics.

11:15 p.m. Jan. 31 — Deputy dispatched to Chukchansi Casino for disturbance between several subjects. One subject contacted and arrested for public intoxication.

10:48 a.m. Jan. 31 — Mail box cluster broken into and mail was taken.
