Suspected DUI claims life of 45-year-old man

A suspected drunk driving accident claimed the life of a 45-year-old Colorado man last weekend.

At approximately 2:14 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, Michael Allee, 30, of Fish Camp, was driving a 1993 Toyota northbound on Highway 41 north of Summit Road when he lost control of the vehicle veering off the roadway.

The Toyota collided with a tree before coming to a stop resulting in one of the passengers, located in the right rear-seat of the vehicle, sustaining fatal injuries.

Another passenger, Mark Touchstone, 27, of Fish Camp, was uninjured in the accident.

The name of the deceased was withheld prior to confirmation from the family.

Allee was arrested on scene for felony suspicion of DUI and manslaughter. He was booked into Mariposa County Jail. The collision remains under investigation.
