January is national mentoring month

An academic showcase will be held 6-8 p.m.,Thursday, Jan. 23, for students who plan on attending Minarets Charter School next school year.

Minarets Charter High School and Minarets High School will be enrolling charter students and transfers for the 2014-2015 school year. Minarets is a project based, one to one laptop/iPad school whose focus is on 21st century skills, and real world application.

The school features a strong FFA , media and arts, music, AP and Fire Science programs as well as 9 CIF sports.

Minarets is an Apple Distinguished School, a Golden Bell Award Winner for Innovation and home to many award winning teachers and programs.

In the five years of Minaret's existence the school has been home to students from Fresno, Clovis, Madera, Madera Ranchos, and communities throughout Eastern Madera County.

Enrollment for next year can be started by visiting minarets.us and clicking on the link to enrollment. The deadline is February 14. Also, if you are interested in seeing what Minarets has to offer in person you are welcome to attend the Academic Showcase on January 23, 6-8 p.m..
