Ten Yosemite outdoor adventures

The Yosemite Conservancy is offering 10 ways to discover Yosemite in winter with courses beginning Jan. 11 through April 26. The adventures include:

Snowshoe Yosemite: Mariposa Grove 1: Jan. 11 in the big trees with Ranger Dick Ewart.

Backpacking for Beginners: Jan. 18. An indoor clinic to assist in planning your summer fun.

Snowshoe Yosemite: Mariposa Grove 2: Feb. 8.

Photographing Natures "Firefall" and Winter Landscapes: Feb. 27 - March 2 with John Senser.

Snowshoe Yosemite: March 22 with Ranger Karen Amstutz

Spring Canyon Wildflowers: March 28 with Michael Ross

Secrets of the West Valley: March 30 with Pete Devine

Leave No Trace (LNT) Trainer Course" April 4-5

Yosemite Springtime Birding: April 26 with Michael Ross

Courses include free park entry and free camping for participants. Motel rooms have been reserved for each course. Course tuition ranges from $99 and $399. Yosemite Conservancy members receive a 15% tuition discount.

The Yosemite Conservancy is the park's non-profit partner, supporting education, volunteers, the arts, publishing and a variety of Yosemite projects.
