Kingsburg beats Yosemite 1-0

The Yosemite High boys soccer team lost 1-0 to Kingsburg Dec. 16.

"This was a great game," said coach Rick Lemberg. "We played incredibly well, we just could not score. We had more shots on goal than Kingsburg did, but they had one great shot from about 30 yards out to get the win."

The Badgers travel to play Roosevelt on Jan. 7, followed by a 5 p.m. game Jan. 9 at Minarets.

The team opens North Sequoia League play on Jan. 15 at Chowchilla.

The Yosemite boy's and girl's soccer teams are holding an alumni game this Saturday, Dec. 28. Check in will be at 11 a.m. with the girl's game at 11:30 a.m. and the boy's game at 1 p.m. Those games are free, and proceeds from concessions will benefit the school's soccer programs.
