Louise E. Mayer

Louise E. Mayer died at her home in North Fork on November 20, 2013 at the age of 84. She was born in North Fork on November 23, 1928.

Mayer was a member of the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians. She attended school at the North Fork Indian Mission, Sherman Institute of Riverside and graduated Valedictorian from Madera High School. She was employed in the North Fork School cafeteria for 20 years.

An avid sports fan, Mayer loved baseball, football, and auto racing, especially watching her son and great-granddaughter race. She was also well-known for her cooking and positive attitude.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George; children David and wife, Marie; Ray and wife LeAnn, and Dan, all from North Fork; brother Louie Davis of Coarsegold; grandchildren Jason, Melissa, and Rachel; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Private services have been held.
