One of the most highly attended children's event in the Mountain Area takes place Saturday at the Oakhurst Community Center — Breakfast with Santa. More than 700 children and family members attended this event last year.

The 12th annual breakfast, prepared by members of the Oakhurst Kiwanis Club, is served 7:30 to 11 a.m. The breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage, juice, milk and coffee. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12 and children five and under are admitted free.

In addition to breakfast and having the opportunity to talk with Santa, free children's books will be provided by Sierra Tel and stuffed animals donated by Mountain Bear Fan Club. An Christmas decorating arts and crafts table will also be available for all children.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Children's Museum of the Sierra as well as other local charities.

The Community Center is located on Road 425B.
