Oakhurst community tree arrives

The Oakhurst community tree lighting will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, on the north-east corner Highway 41 and Crane Valley Road (426). The 60-foot community Christmas tree is provided by Sierra Tel. Santa will arrive on a fire truck following the tree lighting ceremony to take children’s requests for Christmas.

Festivities include free hot dogs provided by Century 21, Ditton Realty, coffee provided by Starbucks, hot cider and cocoa donated by Gold Country Water, cookies from the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce, music by the Yosemite High School Chamber Singers and Chamber Maids, free books provided by Sierra Tel and a bounce house courtesy of Liberty Rentals.

In addition, pine cone decorating, a petting zoo and pony rides are being provided by Crab Cakes Restaurant, Dr. Rodney Peter, DDS, and McGoldrick & McGoldrick Attoneys at Law. Details: (559) 683-7766.
