Raymond Clay Edmondson

Obituary for 11/21/13 of the Sierra Star

Raymond Edmondson of Oakhurst, died on Nov. 12, 2013, at the age of 73.

Mr. Edmondson was born May 14, 1940 in San Francisco and was a graduate of San Francisco State University with a degree in marketing.

He worked in marketing for AT&T for 12 years in San Francisco and for 18 years in marketing for Chevron in San Ramon.

Mr. Edmondson coached little league baseball and soccer when his children were younger, enjoyed gourmet cooking and travelling.

He was the former vice president of the Sierra Historic Sites Association board of directors and currently was a Oakhurst Community Center board member.

Mr. Edmondson is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandy; son Jeff and wife Laura of Concord, Greg of Spring Lake, N.C., and Mark and his wife Tara of Martinez, daughter Michelle Pastor and husband Frank of Martinez, and seven grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at New community United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations the family has asked that donation be sent to New Community United Methodist Church building fund or the charity of their choice in Mr. Edmondson's name.
