Mariposa man captured in Madera County for meth

A Mariposa man remains behind bars facing felony drug charges following his arrest early yesterday morning in Coarsegold.

36-year old Christopher Davis Franksen was taken into custody at around 2:24 a.m. on Road 417 near Quartz Mountain Road, just west of Indian Lakes Estates.

Deputy Miguel Hernandez was patrolling the area when he pulled Franksen over for a traffic violation. Franksen, on probation for a drug relate offense, was found to be in possession of a methamphetamine and two hypodermic needles.

Franksen was transported down the mountain and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections where he was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale. Bail set at $25,000.00
