Fall's Back

October 22, 2013

Nature's magnificent display of rainbow colors belies the changing of the season, a time when area residents and visitors alike are treated to spectacular yellow, red and orange hues.

A gentle walk along the old road from Badger Pass ski area to Bridalveil Creek Campground leads to aspen groves within Yosemite.

A search for brilliant aspen can also be found in some favorite glades within the park, as well as along Tioga Road near the Tuolumne Grove trailhead and the Yosemite Creek picnic area.

Other aspens are more isolated, growing along the Glacier Point Road past Summit Meadow.

This is the time of year when Yosemite National Park and Eastern Madera County come alive, putting on an impressive fall show for all to appreciate.
