Bill Clayton of Oakhurst, formerly of Los Angeles, died on Sept. 28, 2013, at the age of 83.
He was born on Feb. 5, 1930 to parents Elmer and Kathyrn Clayton in Dublin, Texas.
Mr. Clayton was a graduate of Texas A&M where he earned a degree in science. He also served in the National Guard and the Air Force where he began his life-long career in computer science and software engineering.
His interests included spending time with his family, building his home with his wife and landscaping their property.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Shirley; six-year-old son, Brian Gregg; brothers: Doyle, Kirby, sisters: Pauline Davis, Doris Miller, Merle Clayton.
Mr. Clayton is survived by his sisters: Kathryn Gilbert, Wilma Davis, Norma Parks; four children: Steve Clayton, Lesley Gray, Lauren Adams, Janet Clayton; grandchildren: Kathryn Adams, Brian Adams, Tyler Clayton, Casey Clayton, Cullen Gray, Olivia Gray; and great-grandson Scott Adams.
Memorial services will be held in Texas and California at a late date.
