Yosemite Alumni graduates basic training

Milestones for 10/3/13 edition of the Sierra Star

Army Pvt. Kristopher M. Plantaz graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

The 2012 Yosemite graduate enlisted in the Army following high school and during his nine week training, Plantaz studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, field tactics, military justice system, and basic first-aid,

Plantaz is the son of Amy and Plantaz of Highway 41, Coarsegold.
