The Mariposa County Sheriffs Office has recovered the remains of an adult male within the Stanislaus National Forest of Mariposa County. The remains were taken for an autopsy and determined to be those of a white male adult in his early to mid- twenties. No identification has been made at this time. Further tests are being conducted in an attempt to identify the remains. Investigators are working with other law enforcement agencies who have missing and/or at risk persons.
