Isom 'Warren' Raper

Obituary for 9/12/13 of the Sierra Star

Isom "Warren" Raper, of Coarsegold, died on Aug. 30, 2013 at the age of 87.

He was born on January 25, 1926 in Milburn, Okla.

Mr. Raper worked for the FMC as a welder for 31 years before retiring to Texas as a cattle rancher for ten years. He moved to the Mountain Area in 2005.

Mr. Raper served in World War 2 as a heavy equipment manager in the South Pacific and he enjoyed animals, country music, square dancing and going for drives.

He is preceded in death by his wife Louise Raper and son William Raper.

Mr. Raper is survived by his two sisters Dorothy Wiederrich and Margaret Tuell; two daughters Carol Smith and Judy Andes; and son Jerry Raper; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held.
