The 8th Annual Bass Lake Home Tour will take place 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. this Saturday, to benefit the Oakhurst Library and school band programs.
A 33-year-old cabin owned by Brian and Dee Heller will be one of six homes featured on the tour, one of two lakefront homes.
The Heller's purchased the home 11 years ago and only minor upgrades have been made including new kitchen counter top and hardwood floors throughout the cabin. The biggest improvement they made was access to the lake, including the installation of a golf cart path and a lighted walking path with steps leading to the water's edge.
A large house deck allows the couple to entertain or just enjoy the spectacular view. A deck by the lake provides a large sitting area where you get the morning sun and afternoon shade in the private cove that is part of the Lakeshore Beach Club Association.
The spacious grounds are very private.
The Bass Lake Home Tour was proposed as a way for the Bass lake Lions Club to continue funding its charitable activities.
Advance tickets are $20 (adults only) and available from any Bass Lake Lions Club member, Bass Lake Realty office in The Pines Village, or at basslakehometour.com. Tickets are $25 per person on the day of the event.
Self-guided tours will begin in The Pines Village at Bass Lake beside the Bass Lake Realty office. The Lions Club will prepare and serve lunch, included in the price, for tour participants from 11 a.m. 2 p.m.
The home tour is sponsored by the Bass Lake Lions Club in conjunction with Bass Lake Realty.
