Brother and Sister-in-law arrested on suspicion of murderSeptember 9, 2013 

Madera County Sheriff’s Office announced the identity of the man who’s remains were found in North Fork last week. Christopher Garrity’s, 29, body was discovered last week near his shared home located on Willow Creek Drive in North Fork following the arrest of his brother Marc McMurrian, 35.

Detectives arrested Marc McMurrian on Thursday Sept. 5 on suspicion of murder and booked him on suspicion of killing Garrity. Since the discovery of the body detectives have arrested McMurrian's wife, Jennifer McMurrian, 32, on suspicion of accessory to murder in the death of Garrity.

Authorities have not released any information on the method or motive for the killing and both suspects are being held at the Madera County Department of Corrections on a $1 million bail.

The case remains under investigation.
