September 3, 2013

The Yosemite Badgers Youth Football teams made the two hour trip to play Huron last Saturday on a 106 degree day, and four Badger teams were defeated.

The Mighty Mites fought hard, but lost by two touchdowns. The other three Yosemite teams were shutout on the day, although there were signs of improvement over the prior weeks carnival scrimmage games at Kingsburg.

The senior team was missing many players due to the three-day holiday.

"We have a lot of work to do to get ready for games Saturday at Mendota," said coach Erik Peterson.

Games are at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Losing scores against Huron were: Mighty Mites (28-14), Pee Wees (28-0), Juniors (30-0), and Seniors (38-0).
