Bill Atwood has a strong dogma

Letters to the Editor - 8/29/13 edition

August 27, 2013

Dear Editor,

Until I read Dr. Bill Atwood's column in the Aug. 22 Sierra Star, I was not aware that the president, attorney general, and civil rights leaders are keeping racism alive and it is the conservatives that are getting beyond it.

But if Dr. Bill's fantasy were reality, wouldn't it be the Republican party getting over 90% of the black vote? Wouldn't all the white racists be joining liberal group, and wouldn't blacks be rushing to join the tea party?

Dr. Atwood, like all of us, has his dogma, and it's axiomatic that the stronger our dogmas, the more they prevail over reason.

Dr. Bill has a strong dogma.

Ed Bailey, Oakhurst
